There is a great selection of restaurants, the spa is amazing, and the private beach very good indeed. You will soon feel like old friends here by the way the excellent staff treat you and your children without ever being too familiar. This hotel is the destination because this part of crete doesn’t offer a lot, but that doesn’t matter because of the quality of the hotel.

Belize is the next of our destinations. The Coco Beach Resort is a beachfront resort on the island of Ambergris Caye just over three miles to the north of San Pedro Town. The resort has an amazing pool, luxurious accommodation and lots of mainly sea based activities in a lovely warm climate.

What with tempting hammocks all over the place it is so easy to spend your days relaxing here with loads of palm trees to give you natural shade. There are 25 two bedroom suites and 5 one bedroom casitas. The suites have king size beds, two bathrooms, a well equipped kitchen and their own dining area. What makes such a difference here is the quality of the staff who are both friendly and helpful wherever you are in the resort.

You can get a water taxi to San Pedro regularly and there are a number of very good restaurants close by, where you can even get room service brought in. The most important thing to realise is the high proportion of guests who would not stay anywhere else on Ambergris Caye.
