After having finally decided I would spend some more on a big holiday next year, it’s taken me a good while to decide on the location. The USA finally got my vote, I could be sure of the food, the language wasn’t a problem and I could be sure there was going to be plenty to see to fill up my fortnight. I wanted to make sure I had plenty to see and do on this occasion so I opted for a trip to Orlando Florida.

The great thing about Orlando holidays is that they really have made it a challenge to get bored when you are there. Obviously, there is the Walt Disney World theme park which is a massive attraction, and well worth a visit if you have always wanted to go since young, and there are a special range of exclusive holiday packages that include park tickets. This option includes things like shuttle transfers and transport around the parks which are too vast to cover by foot, so could be the best alternative for families. At the time I was checking, there were lots of special deals and custom offers being advertised, so there’s no need to become an expert on the Disney options as several travel packages already offer pretty much what you need!

If Walt Disney World holidays are not your cup of tea, you’re still in luck as there are plenty of other sights and attractions worth visiting in Orlando. Being a film buff, I rather fancied a trip to the Universal Studios theme park, which although isn’t a working studio park like the original in Hollywood, has enough film-related rides, information and tours to keep me happy. Another spot I shall be making a point of visiting is the SeaWorld Centre, as I also have a fascination for fish and this place has an unrivalled collection of marine life to wonder at, as well as a water park to splash around in after wards and its own collection of roller coaster rides.

Obtaining flights to Orlando, even at this time of year, turned out not to be a problem. The travel sector is still feeling the Credit Crunch, and although traditionally you coulj expect to find most of these holidays booked solid by now, there are still a variety of good deals to be had with flights and fly drives if you shop around the travel agents
