Maldives Holidays
The islands of the Maldives lay within the Indian Ocean. Each island has beautiful sandy beaches and clear waters. Imaginehavingyour own little paradise to wake up to each morning it is absolute bliss! My husband and I unwound on Baros Island for the first time recently and we couldn’t recommend the experience more! We hope to return imminently.
The hotel we stayed at wasn’t too large and this allowed us to have some privacy within the simple – yet luxurious – surroundings. We really felt secluded from the rest of world and this means that we felt trouble free and let’s face it, that’s the result one wants from a holiday! We could walk the circumference of the island in less than 15 minutes, which should indicate just how small the area is.
There’s not only the option of relaxing and getting pampered at the various spas but Maldives holidays offer plenty for people with lots of energy to do too. You can take lessons in scuba diving and snorkelling, or even hire surf boards, pedalos and motor boats! The Maldives are also known as a premier destination for diving; the islands picturesque, easily seen coral reefs and ocean life attracts many visitors a year. We also took a boat trip to a few of the uninhabited islands at the end of our holiday all of which were like something you’ve only ever seen on a postcard or holiday program.
If you’re a fan of hot weather, you’ll love how hot it is in the Maldives. Temperatures average at a hot 29 degrees Celsius throughout the year, so do make sure you double check that you have packed the sun cream.Another positive we discovered is that there were few mosquitoes on the island. We were informed that this is because there are few areas of fresh open water for the insects to use for breeding.
