Florida Beach Resort Vacations
Florida is a peninsula and therefore surrounded on three sides by water. This fact, and its year-round balmy climate, makes Florida an excellent vacation spot. Popular Floridian resort cities include Miami Beach, Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, and The Keys: Key Largo, Key West, Islamorada and others. Less known but delightful vacation spots include Cocoa Beach, Venice Beach, and Clearwater. Florida’s white, sandy beaches, clear, blue-green water, and laid back atmosphere make it an excellent destination where vacationers can kick back and relax.
Hawaii Beach Resort Vacations
This one is a no-brainer. The “Fantasy Islands” are filled with popular beach resort towns, some more tourist-friendly than others. Hawaii is the largest of the eight main Hawaiian Islands and its capital city of Honolulu is a popular vacation location. The second most popular island is Maui which is an excellent surfing hangout as well as family vacation resort. Rarely does the temperature drop below 60 degrees or rise above 90 degrees which makes Hawaii suitable for year-round vacationing. Beach resorts to check out include: Waikiki Beach, Kaanapali, and Kauai.
Delaware (??) Beach Resort Vacations
You may ask what Delaware, the second smallest state, is doing on a list of beach resort vacations. Though Delaware is small, it is also the home of tax-free shopping and its most popular beach, Rehoboth Beach, was named by Reader’s Digest as having the “Best Boardwalk in America.” Rehoboth Beach was also voted one of the “Top Places to Retire” by the AARP. Just minutes from Rehoboth is Dewey Beach, a popular hangout for college kids on summer break. “Down the shore,” as Delawareans would say are Fenwick Island and Bethany Beach. All these beach resorts are located just two hours from Washington D.C., Philadelphia, and Baltimore which make them excellent stops on any northeastern vacation.
