to West Virginia
 You will discover 1,400 acres of wilderness just waiting to be
explored at the ACE Whitewater Rafting and Adventure Center located in the New
River Gorge National River. There, you will find some of the finest whitewater
rafting in the state.
If you want something a little milder, then you
can float along the New River but for the adventurer at hear, the Gauley River
provides world class rafting. In addition to the whitewater rafting, this area
also boasts excellent camping and lodging. However, other activities include
horseback riding, mountain biking, and even kayak clinics.
For families
with older kids, this would be a wonderful place to visit. The air is clean and
the activities challenging. You can spend a day hiking in the mountains and
then come back to the lodge or camping site at night to rest and share stories
of the day's events.
