Ron Paul rEVOLution in the Feb. 19 Wisconsin Primary Ron Paul has a
relatively large following in Wisconsin because Libertarian views here resonate
a little more. In the Fox Valley, Paul's followers include nurses, accountants,
county supervisors, laborers and even John Birch Society members all
committed to getting the word out about his message to uphold and defend the
Constitution. They are progressives and conservatives, young and old. And they
are devoted.
Outagamie Supv. Chuck Schmidt, calls Paul "our only hope"
for America to return to fundamental values. "I don't think the polls are
reflecting what is happening out here," says Diana Nickel, a 46-year-old
Winneconne resident and nurse who leads the Fox Cities-Oshkosh "meet-up." The
group's membership tipped at 129 this week, nearly six months after she
established it through the social networking portal, Meetup.com. "People just
find us," she said. "Every time there has been a debate I get a whole bunch of
people that join."
Ron Paul's out-of-the-mainstream viewpoints on
limited government and emphasis on privacy make his candidacy clearly at odds
with the media-picked front-runners. He has pledged to restore civil liberties,
end American involvement in Iraq, phase out the Federal Reserve and eliminate a
host of government entities, including the FBI, CIA, Department of Education
and Food and Drug Administration.
There are many ways you can show your
support for Dr. Paul and his message of liberty. Join fellow Ron Paul
supporters in your area through one of Wisconsins MeetUp groups. Check
