Romantic Destinations in Kansas
Kansas, a state located in "the breadbasket" of the United
States, can definitely be considered part of Americas heartland. Vast expanses
of plains, combined with beautiful hills and other majestic terrain make this
area reminiscent of the line "amber waves of grain". For couples visiting this
part of the country, romantic destinations in Kansas are a sure way to enjoy
each others company while also taking in all of the beauty and natural wonder
that the state has to offer. There are many different types of establishments
here that are perfect for your next trip.
If you want to enjoy all of the ambiance of an ancient
Scottish castle without having to leave the US, you should take a trip to the
Castle Inn Riverside, located in Wichita, Kansas. This structure was built in
1888, and was modeled after an authentic Scottish castle. Spanish lights, an
over 200 year old English staircase and a 675 year old Greek fireplace create a
very nostalgic and impressive look for this ancient recreation. All of the 14
rooms located at the Castle Inn are theme rooms, with each room offering its
own style and charm to guests.
Six of the rooms at the Castle Inn are Jacuzzi suites,
perfect spots for romantic destinations in Kansas. The hotel dining room offers
couples and other guests a complimentary breakfast, as well as afternoon tea
and homemade desserts with after dinner drinks. Around the area of Riverside
(Wichita), is historic Oldtown with museums, shops and theater to enjoy. The
Sedgewick County Zoo, as well as the Bradley Fair center are also close to the
Inn - although with accommodations like this, few couples feel the need to
leave their rooms!
The Hotel at Old Town, also located within Wichita,
Kansas, is another unique spot to spend some romantic time together. This hotel
has been restored to look almost exactly the same as it did when it first
opened, in 1906. Inside, the suites offer all of the comforts of home (but
better), with in room kitchens, modern amenities like TVs and Internet, and
more. The hotel itself offers a host of different restaurants and other
activities, like a piano bar, to really keep you active. Destinations here
offer the best Wichita has to offer, including plush robes and Jacuzzis.
Choose to have your next romantic destinations in Kansas,
and you won't be disappointed. The atmosphere in this mid-America city offers
much more than just farmland and flat vistas - it offers a great hideaway for
lovers.
