Travel
to Indiana
Indiana is bounded on the north by Lake Michigan and
the state of Michigan; on the east by Ohio; on the south by Kentucky, with
which it shares the Ohio River as a border; and on the west by Illinois.
Indiana is one of the Great Lakes states.
Northern Indiana is mostly
farmland; however, the northwest corner of the state is part of the greater
metropolitan area of Chicago and is therefore more densely populated. Southern
Indiana is a mixture of farmland and forest. The Hoosier National Forest is a
200,000 acre nature preserve near Bedford. Southern Indiana generally contains
more hills and geographic variation than the northern portion. |
Romantic Destinations in

The hoosier state is known for its sports, particularly
basketball. Try one of the following romantic destinations in Indiana, however,
and you will soon know it for something else.
Romantic Destinations in Indiana
Indiana offers couples a wide variety of activities to
enjoy while taking a romantic trip here. The many different golf courses (yes,
we know women play too!) as well as Indianapolis, the home of the exciting Indy
500 are located here. The hospitality of the Midwest is also evident when you
book romantic destinations in Indiana. Here, there are many sorts of
establishments for couples looking to spend some time alone - inns and resorts,
bed and breakfasts and hotels are all found throughout the state of Indiana.
One of the most romantic spots in Indiana is found in
Brown County, Indiana, near what is known as "Little Nashville". This spot
offers couples the scenic beauty of the Little Smoky Mountains, as well as
being close to the Brown County State Park, which is one of Indianas most
visited state facilities. The resort to see here is the Abbey-Inn, an adults
only retreat located in Nashville, Indiana. This resort offers complete
non-smoking accommodations to couples who are looking to spend a little time
away from their everyday hectic life.
The Abbey-Inn offers 13 rooms to choose from, all with a
combination of two person hot tubs, fireplaces, patios and balconies. The rooms
at the Abbey-Inn are all meant to be private, in fact, they pride themselves on
the fact that you may not see another guest the whole time youre staying here.
Amenities such as snacks (biscotti and other delights), mini-fridge and coffee
maker, and breakfast in bed mean that you wont have to leave your room unless
you really want to.
If you prefer your romantic destinations in Indiana to be
a bit more subdued and classic, why not try a stay at the 1877 House Bed and
Breakfast in Jeffersonville, Indiana. This old converted farm house is just
seven miles from the city of Louisville, Kentucky - and it is a great
destination for couples from throughout the south or Midwest. All rooms include
in-room fireplaces, private baths and even spa and relaxation packages for
couples who really want to enjoy their special time together. Full gourmet
breakfasts are included with your nightly accommodations.
No matter where in the state you choose, romantic
destinations in Indiana are a great way to spend some time together. If you are
located in the Midwest, Indiana is a perfect destination for your next adults
only trip together.
