Traveling with Children

When you’re expecting, anticipate a different vacation from what you’re used to. Preparation is essential. Plan carefully, spend a little more on nicer accommodations and rent a bigger more comfortable car for your trip if you own a small sporty one. Simplify your itinerary — and plan on bringing a sense of humor!

Traveling pregnant is just a warm-up exercise for your life for the next few years. It’s a peek into your future living with a 2- to five year old. You’ll know the location of every restroom along your route! Then there’s the moodiness – being bothered by everything, including but not limited to whining, crankiness, and cravings. And is there ever room for all the stuff you have to carry, much less for the actual people in the car?

Seriously – if you must travel during a pregnancy, try to do it during the second trimester, when you’re beyond the discomfort of the first, but before you’ve grown huge in those final weeks close to the baby’s due date. Make sure there is enough room to be comfortable in the passenger seats, especially if you will be driving. This is the one time in your life that an upgraded rental model will be worth every penny of the expense! Use common sense – you need to see the family, but be smart. You might be thinking “it’s my last chance to go without kids!” But it’s best to play it safe. Plan a less – rather than more – ambitious trip. Keep your medical information readily at hand, find out where the local hospitals are along your route, and stay out of dangerous areas.

Pack lots of extra snacks – finger foods and small drink containers. Experience tells me to suggest water as the beverage of choice – it tastes the same whether it’s warm or cold, and it doesn’t spoil. If it spills (and it will!) water doesn’t stain or leave a sticky smelly residue that requires an immediate roadside stop for a complete change of clothes. You can even use a splash of it to clean up little messes as they occur. (You do have plenty of paper towels or tissues in the car, don’t you?!?)

Snacks? Cheerios (the original kind) are every mom’s best friend -they aren’t sticky or too sweet (inviting nausea) and they aren’t so salty that they need to be washed down with lots of liquid (necessitating more potty pitstops). Even little children can “gum” Cheerios into mush and you won’t worry constantly about choking hazards. Sharing? Don’t count on it! Everybody gets their own stash. Vacuum the car daily….there will be crumbs everywhere! GET OUT OF THE CAR for meals – everyone needs to stretch occasionally for comfort and safety, and you need some civilization as you dine, even if it’s just fast food burgers.

Remember, too, that your pregnant self might recoil in horror from things that other people might find perfectly pleasant. This is especially true in the early stages of pregnancy. When my wife was ten weeks pregnant with our first child, we traveled to Florida in early February for a vacation to see relatives and the Super Bowl. We were eating sushi that came by on platter after platter (no raw fish, not that I was exactly craving it) when she began to get sick. After that, everything related to the sea – water, waves, you name it – made her nauseous. To say the least she was not happy. What a trip that turned out to be!

My expectant son and daughter-in-law went to San Francisco and to Lake Tahoe afterward. They made a huge mistake driving to Napa Valley – they passed miles of “fragrant” cattle ranches that left her gagging and in tears. Every mother has gone through similar situations.

Traveling with a toddler when you’re expecting another baby is horrible. Our advice is: “Don’t. It will just be exhausting.” Unless you absolutely must do it, don’t. My vice president’s wife said to me one day, “Did you ever notice how helpful strangers can be when you’re pregnant – ‘Oh, let me get that door for you!’ – versus how unhelpful they are when you’re pregnant and have a child?” She will never forget staggering to the back of an airplane with a diaper bag swinging from her shoulder, trying not to whack anybody, while holding her tiny daughter’s hand and wrestling a huge car seat that didn’t fit front-ways in the aisle,. The other passengers and those wonderful flight attendants just watched!

What do you like to do on family holidays? Go to the beach or spend a week in the country? Or do you like camping or visiting relatives. Whatever you enjoy, family holidays are an opportunity for everyone in the family to get reacquainted and spend quality time together. It’s opportunity for parents to really talk with their children and find out what’s going on in their lives. It’s vital to keep the communication lines open, and a family holiday is the ideal time to do that. Enjoying a good relationship with their parents is one of the most critical factors in keeping teens out of trouble.

Research has shown that when families take holidays together, they are more likely to eat meals together and are less likely to argue. They do not watch as much television because they are involved in doing things together. Kids even report that their parents seem to behave differently while on vacation.

While family holidays are a good opportunity to connect with your kids, communication issues that are already there will not suddenly disappear. Especially with teenagers it is essential to listen and be flexible. Find out what the kids would like to do and eat and plan accordingly. While even teenagers need boundaries, it is essential for parents to try to avoid needless confrontation. Explain why you make the decisions you do and show them positive attention.

children will appreciate being included in vacation plans. There’s a good chance they will opt for a theme park or the beach if those are among the options. Sometimes it works well for a teenager to bring a special friend along on family holidays. While this might increase the parents’ load, the teen is likely to really appreciate it. Also, sometimes it works well for kids to go on vacation with their grandparents instead of their parents. Sometimes there is a special relationship here that can help kids open up and communicate about their concerns.

While on family vacation, if teens are uncooperative or behave improperly, try to deal with the problem in private. Teens are very aware of embarrassmant and it is needlessly mean to exploit this sensitivity. In fact, you might explain to the kids how their behavior embarrasses you, and they in turn might work harder at getting along and acting appropriately.

Kids will be happier on family vacations if they have snacks, drinks, and entertainment. Few kids enjoy a long ride in the car! Try to provide individual CD players or hand-held video games, and don’t forget to take lots of bathroom stops. Sometimes kids enjoy the ride more if they can help you follow the map. This is an educational activity for them as well. By following these suggestions, your family holidays can make a happy memory.

A shared interest always helps parent- child communication. Whatever the age of your kids they’ll love to have their faces painted. So why not learn how to create some face painting designs
Easy face painting

You’ll be especially popular when it comes to themed birthday parties and, of course, Halloween.

Each Kosher Travel is a lesson in life. Why? It teaches the essential lesson of the Passover. Freedom. It is the type of freedom to which the Jewish people have the power to survive and to thrive. It is not freedom from the body as much as an independence of the mind. And this freedom is achieved at Passover-time to light your way to whatever your heart desires. A person with true freedom does not know any limit, and can achieve whatever they wish. They are free to change themselves and change the world!

Passover celebrates an ancient history. The initial two nights of the eight days are celebrated with sumptuous meals called Seders. The Passover Seder is a special Jewish ritual which takes place the first evening of Passover in Israel, and the first and second evenings of Passover in the Jewish Diaspora. Incorporating the meal of holidays, Seder relives control and the following exodus of the children of ancient Israel of Egypt by the words of Haggadah, the drinking of four wine cups, the consumption of the matzot, and the consumption of and the reference to foods symbolic systems placed on the dish of Seder of Passover.

You can choose to spend your Kosher Holiday from the different travel tours available for every imaginable vocation. Deciding on which tour to take for your next Jewish Vacation can be overwhelming and stressful. Looking into guides and tools for preparation for this kind of tour can help you find one that will fit your taste and budget.

First, decide on your desired destination. Where do you want to go? Do not allow fear or lack of preparation limit you to places close to your home. Moreover, do you want to explore a specific location or do you want to travel from one place to the other? Deciding where and how you want to travel will help you narrow down the choices of excursions for you to take.

After you have decided on where you want to go, decide on what you want to do during your trip. Those who are interested in the antique art of caves and those who are into underwater photography, you will find an excursion that will definitely fit your interests. If you are the kind with various interests, other excursions will offer the variety seek. There are certain excursions that are seasonal, depending on the destination. It is best to do some research when planning your trip to avoid circumstances that may arise due to season or weather conditions. You also have the liberty to decide on how long you wish your excursion to be. They are available in just a couple of days, one week or even longer, putting in mind the days of your vacation that you want to devote to touring.

Having decided on your itinerary, take the time to decide on how you wish to go through your excursion. You can have it fast-paced, going from one place to another or the other way around. Whether you want it fast or more carefree, it is all up to you. Take the time to go through the pros and cons of each before making the decision. At this point, you should decide on whether you are traveling alone or with kids. Bear in mind that the more the number of people you are traveling with, the more travel fees you need to settle. Let your travel coordinator know about your case so he and she can give you excursions that will meet the needs and interest of everyone. Having to experience kid-friendly excursions definitely makes a happier holiday.

Once you know who goes with you on your small adventure, consider how much your budget is and plan something that will allow all of you to enjoy your excursion. The prices depend on the length of your excursion and what is included. Consider the price of the air transport charges, food, transport on the ground, housing, and tourist guides and discover if those are included in the price of your excursion. Do not forget to consider additional expenditure, such as tips and purchases.

Decide if you want to travel with a group or all alone. If you decide to go with a group, consider how large you would prefer the group to be and age range of the members of group. Some excursions are specifically for the women, the families or the elder ones.

After that, seek your heart, and decide which comfort level you require. Does the thought of staying in a fuselage or hut terrify you? Some destinations or rural excursions of adventure will require you to sacrifice certain comforts you are used to having everyday. You must consider how well you and your companions adapt to different kinds of environments. Your grandmother of eighty-year-old cannot appreciate an excursion of yoga or a hike to the Alps. That would have you just wasting time, money, energy, and your holidays.

Once you decide on your preferred excursion, it is time to do your research. Consult the Internet, the publications of voyage and the periodicals. You might also want to check with your friends or other networks. You will never know who might have a friend who knows someone who just went on the best Kosher Resorts in Costa Rica. In conclusion, once you have collected all the information you need, compare the excursions and ask yourselves essential questions. Do not be afraid to ask for references. It is your money and your holidays, and, if all is well, with all your extensive research, planning and precaution, it will be the
best voyage than you will ever have.

If you keep a sharp eye out, you will also see some very different sights, unique things that you never new existed throughout various Nebraska tourism regions. Of course, when you spot these things, you will likely be compelled to stop and find out what all the fuss is.

Carhenge – Nebraska Travel Guide

One of the unique and more interesting things you will find on your trek through Nebraska is Carhenge. It is a celebration of the surreal!

As the title implies, this is a replica of one Stonehenge, one of the most famous sites in the world. The only change is that instead of monolithic slabs of rock, this structure is made completely from the hulks of old automobiles.

Carhenge is not the only sculpture in the park, of course. The Spawning Salmon, created by master sculpturist Sandhurst shows a giant fish rising from the ground. Dino, is a sculpture of a large dinosaur that looks similar to a Tyrannosaurus Rex. The Fourd Seasons is a sculpture that is very specific to the state – it shows the four stages of the wheat that is grown in the state. The Carnestoga is a station wagon that is scuplted to resemble a Conestoga wagon from times past – it even has wagon wheels and “horses” hitched to the front!

Carhenge is open 365 days a year, and the preferred visiting hours are during the day. Admission to the park is totally free, but they willingly accept donations. These donations are used for the maintenance and upkeep of the area.

So enjoy your tour through Nebraska – you will be glad that you found it!

Zion: Utah’s First National Park

Grand Staircase, one of the most gorgeous places in the world, is a natural draw for tourists to the state of Utah. It opened to the public as a national park in 1909, and gathers millions of visitors to the gorgeous cliffs and trails every year. And a trip to Grand Canyon National Park is something that no individual or family will want to loose.

If you are short on time on your Utah Travel Guide, one of the best ways to see some of the rugged and stunning landscapes is to drive yourself through the national park or take a guided tram tour to get a bit of extra education about the area. If you decide to drive yourself, or take one of the walking tours, you might want to think about picking up one of the road guides at a visitor’s welcome center. You’ll want to remember to drive slowly on these roads since they are used for sightseeing. This means other cars will be going quite slowly and you will also encounter bicyclists.

Aside from driving through Grand Staircase, you might want to take a bicycle. They are allowed on the established roads as well as the scenic but short Pa’rus Trail. You can’t take your bicycles off trail though – this means no mountain biking. Also, bikes are not allowed to go through the Zion – Mt. Carmel Tunnel. They need to be brought through the tunnel by a vehicle.

Hiking and camping are also very big parts of the attraction to Zion. Some of the hikes, however, require permits, which you can inquire about at the visitor’s centers. Hikes through the tributaries and narrows, for example, require permits, as does valley camping. The permits are typically $5.

If you are the outdoors sort and you have the experience, you might want to try climbing along some of the cliffs in the park. Not all of the cliffs in Grand Staircase allow climbing, however, so you should talk to the guides at the Backcountry Permit Desk for more guidance when you pick up your permits. As with the other permits, this normally is $5.

Should you rather keep your feet planted firmly on the ground, you can have a great family picnic at one of the multiple picnic areas in Zion. The Grotto has fire pits, tables, restrooms, and water. The Kolob has tables, fire grates and pit toilets.

Northern Utah Tourism is an excellent opportunity to take a side trip to visit one of the national parks such as %keyword1%; an excellent family vacation.

At first it may seem like a strange idea to visit Disneyland Paris when you’re on an overseas vacation and experiencing things you could never find back home! However, what better way to placate the kids in between stops at the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and the Arc de Triomphe? Besides, there are some features that can only be found in Europe – like the enormous Val d’Europe shopping center, the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea walk-through or the Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril rollercoaster!

As one of the changes to Disneyland Paris, the “Tomorrowland” of Disney World Orlando has been transformed into “Discoveryland,” which is a Jules Vernes version of the future. Here guests can find another version of Space Mountain (Space Mountain 2), which uses 1.5G’s to propel riders 43 mph through corkscrew inversions and loops. Yes, this is the only one of the Disney parks to include such dynamic features on a coaster. Star Tours, Autopia, Buzz Lightyear’s Laser Blast, Honey I Shrunk the Audience and a 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea ride are included in Discoveryland as well.

In 2002, Disneyland Paris opened a secondary Disney park with a movie theme called Walt Disney Studios. The newest land is the “Toon Studio,” where guests can go behind-the-scenes of Disney animators, participate in a drawing course taught by Mickey and Donald and check out the film set of Finding Nemo via Crush’s coaster.

One of the most popular rides is the “CineMagique,” which is similar to the The Great Movie Ride at Disneyworld. Guests travel through scenes from some of their favorite movies, including: The Magnificent Seven, Mary Poppins, The Hunt For Red October, Pinnochio, The Titanic, The Exorcist, Monsters Inc., Silence of the Lambs, A Fish Called Wanda and Robin Hood. Aerosmith’s thrilling Rock N’ Rollercoaster and Twilight Zone Tower of Terror are here for the extremely brave and adventurous too!

Also, don’t miss Catastrophe Canyon, which gives you a back lot tour, putting you right in the middle of explosions, flash floods, fires, earthquakes and everything movie production teams have to offer!

While spending a few days at Disneyland Paris may not have been on your original itinerary, you’ll find the kids renewed full of life and energy after a fun-filled Disney vacation, whether it’s for one day or several. Even if you’ve been to Walt Disney World Orlando, Disneyland California or Tokyo Disneyland, there are unique features in Paris that add a bit of European charm to an award-winning design. After all, many Disney stories were inspired by European fairytales, so why not have a look for yourself and take a day to ponder this part of European history?

Disneyland is a place for everyone, and at Disneyland, they have thought of everything including the babies. The Disneyland Baby Center is located on Main Street, behind the Plaza Inn. This is not a babysitting service. Instead, it is a place where you can attend to your babies needs.

Disneyland Baby Centers
There are several characters present in this area, and their purpose there is not only to amuse your baby, but also to help you attend to your babys needs. This area has rockers, where you can rock and breast feed your baby. No men are allowed in this room, but they are allowed in other rooms within the Baby Center. You can warm a bottle or a jar of food, and clean bottles as necessary. Baby changing tables are available, and the entire center is very clean and comfortable. There are even smaller toilets for children who are being potty trained.

You can also purchase emergency baby supplies at the Baby Center. Diapers cost about a dollar each, and several different types of formula and baby food are kept in supply, although the selections are limited. This is Disneylands way of making sure that the needs of every guest no matter how small they may be are attended to. More about Travel Resources and PofWonderland.

Christmas is one of the happiest times of the year for a child. Spending the happiest time of the year, at the happiest place on earth, could be a dream that comes true for many children and adults. Christmas at Disneyland is an experience that will never be forgotten, and can never be matched.

Disneyland works to make Christmas very special. Santa’s Reindeer Roundup is especially fun, allowing children to decorate Christmas cookies with Mrs. Clause, play Reindeer Games, and make holiday souvenirs. Between seeing all of the characters dressed up in their holiday costumes and enjoying the ‘snow’ after the Fireworks, Christmas at Disneyland cannot be topped!

Make sure that you visit the Christmas Shoppe and buy a special holiday ornament. Also, take part in all of the special holiday rides. Visiting Disneyland at Christmas time is unlike any other Disneyland vacation you will ever take. Make sure you get a picture of the Christmas tree!

Even though Christmas is considered to be ‘off-season’ you should be prepared for crowds. Christmas is a very popular time to visit Disneyland. Make reservations well in advance.

Family vacations can be expensive. Once you add up the cost of lodging and airfare, there is barely enough money left over to enjoy the vacation. All-inclusive resorts offer an alternative for families that comes with a more economical price tag.

All-inclusive resorts are prevalent in Mexico and the Caribbean Islands. These are great places for families with small children and teenagers. Couples can find resorts that cater to adults only so you can enjoy a romantic vacation without children underfoot.

All-inclusive Mexican resorts have many features that appeal to family travel. The biggest expense on just about any vacation is the meals. Tourists spend hundreds of dollars a day on food. Here, you can relax. Since the food is included, children can eat and snack at all times of the day and evening for no extra cost. And, the food is good. This includes drinks in the restaurants and the swim up bar which kids seem to love.

These resorts are built on beachfront property. Guests can enjoy the sun’s rays and activities in the surf. Most resorts offer activities like windsurfing, catamarans, kayaks, and the like as a part of the resort fee. Other activities such as snorkeling and motorized watersports are also often offered with additional per use fees.

Kids can have their time, too. Kids aged four to twelve can take part in the club activities. Coordinators work with kids to provide fun supervised things for them to do without their parents. Parents can retrieve their kids from the kid’s center when they are ready for meals or a bit of family time.

Child friendly Mexican resorts include: Beaches, SuperClub Breezes, Sunscape Resorts and Spas, and Palace Resorts. As all-inclusive facilities, they offer many amenities for one low price. Meals and drinks are included in the price that you pay to stay at the resort. Non-motorized water activities are also included as well as live entertainment at their nighttime hot spots.

Children, as define by the resort, get to stay free with an adult at several places. The resorts allow two adults and three children to stay in one room for the same low all-inclusive price. That is definitely a deal. Resorts also boast several pools, lazy rivers, and water parks. Some excursions may be included as a part of the resort cost, but most will incur some sort of fee.

Look for an all-inclusive resort that fits your needs. Teenagers are hard to please but there are resorts that cater to their needs. Young children are quite active and resorts geared towards families are a great choice. Adults like time alone once in a while. Exclusively adult resorts give them the opportunity to find romance and fun in a tropical location.

Palace Resorts has nine all-inclusive resorts in Mexico. Each because they are owned by the same enterprise, you can stay at one but enjoy the amenities at all nine if your travels take you that far. Check with Palace resorts to find out when this promotion is in effect.

Vallarta Palace Resort and Beach Palace Resort are two choices for families. They have a Kid’s Club that offers activities for different age groups to keep kids occupied so their parents can have some adult time. Both resorts have beautiful beaches with activities like volleyball games, golf, and on-site fitness centers. Prices start around $300 per person for a three-night stay. When children qualify to stay free, you save even more money.

They also have two adult-only resorts: Sun Palace and Aventura Spa Palace Resorts. Adults can enjoy the beach, pools, and spa time to reconnect with each other. Three-night stays start at $400 per person to enjoy an all-inclusive stay in Cancun.

For the amount it costs, this is one of the best ways for couples and families to see the Mexican country and spend time together. Families can take advantage of resort guided tours throughout the area for sightseeing and shopping. Choose an all-inclusive resort in the city you most want to visit.

Southwest Germany is a region of outstanding beauty with numerous forests, lakes and waterfalls. Tourism is the chief industry in the Black Forest in Baden-Wurttemberg on the edge of the Rhine river. The wooded, mountainous area has several tall peaks, the tallest of which is the Feldberg, standing at 1,493m. The trees are mainly pines and firs, some of which are grown on a commercial scale. Unfortunately, the forest has been depleted due to mass logging and the effects of acid rain. The Lothar Cyclone in 1999 also did its share of damage, destroying acres of trees on the tops of mountains.

Five rivers, including the River Danube and its source, run through the Black Forest. There are paths to cater for hikers, mountain bikers and cross country skiers. The area is a haven for wildlife, including owls and eagles. Other more unusual animals are to be found due to commercial enterprise. Visitors can ride a camel at Rotfelden and ostriches are reared on a farm at St. Peter.

There is a tradition of regional cuisine in the area and some food items have become internationally famous. Black Forest Gateaux is still on the menus around the world. The original chocolate cake recipe is still adhered to in the land of its birth with ingredients including whipped cream, cherries and liqueur. Black Forest Ham is also popular at home and abroad. The smoked ham is seasoned with pepper, juniper berries, coriander, garlic and other spices.

Culture and history are celebrated in the region. This can be seen at the open air museum named Vogtsbauernhofe. It re-creates the life of 16th and 17th century farmers with replica farms. There is a long history of making timepieces in Germany and the German Clock Museum at Furtwangen traces the history of clock making and watch making. The collection includes cuckoo clocks, musical clockworks and mechanical musical instruments.

One of the most popular towns in the Black Forest is Baden-Baden. The 83m telecommunications tower, known as the Fremersberg Tower dominates the skyline. The view can be taken from the observation deck and there is an adjacent restaurant. The town contains the Festspielhaus, which is the largest opera house and concert hall in Germany. Major opera and ballet productions are staged there. The town has a fascinating history, as can be seen at the ruins of the Roman Baths and the Hohenbaden castle ruins dating back to 1102.

To take advantage of deep discount resorts in the Black Forest and around the world, you may want to join Global Resorts Network. The membership offers deep discount luxury ski, wilderness, golf, beach, and year round resorts without the troublesome maintenance fees, exchange fees and blackout weeks associated with timeshare ownership. We will even pay you a referral for telling a few friends about our luxury resort membership. Click on F.A.Q. to find out what our membership offers, and take your time to review the audios and videos on the rest of our website as well.

I was thinking the other day that soon, I would have to start making plans for my next vacation. Funny how the mind works though: as soon as the thought of my future holiday destination entered into my mind, I was transported forward into the future, and with images stored in some hidden recesses of my brain, this time in my future started to shape and form, a reality solid enough that for a moment, nothing else mattered. It felt like I was there, several months forward, enjoying a well earned vacation!

So there I was looking through my world atlas for a destination of my dreams flipping through the pages when I came across a map of North America and there it hit me. At a rate of one State a year, it would take 50 years to explore the US, 50 American Vacations that would not even scratch the surface of this great big land of ours. Indeed I remember visiting the Grand Canyon with my wife last year when we thought that one week of exploration through this incredibly beautiful land had only enabled us to see but a mere fraction and we had promised each other to return another year. I remember thinking back then that this magnificent Grand Canyon National Park had been carved by the Colorado River, a body of water moving down from a great distance and it probably took it millions of years to achieve its goal, some 6 million years ago. A piece of art, millions of years in the making but the greatest architect of all, nature, to bring us this ultimate American Vacation dream.

American Vacations are available in a multitude of packages and possibilities. Where you decide to go will depend on your area of interest and your lifestyle. If you are sporty kind, American National Parks are truly amongst the best in the world. Maintained to retain their original wild beauty they offer amenities and services to meet the needs of most tourists. Bring waking boots with you as there are as more trails then you would care to count, ranking from beginner to advanced depending on how fit you are. When taking a walking holiday, remember to follow all the safety recommendations that available at the Parks themselves or online. Too many people have been the unfortunate victims of their own ignorance when it comes to precautions, and you will want to be careful. Most national parks offer lodging of some sort, and for the more adventurous amongst you, camping might just be the thing for you!

So: chose a state of interest, determine the areas you want to visit, the type of vacation you enjoy and start planning. You can get there by car, train, plane, boat and once there you can either camp, stay in a hotel, a cabin or a vacation home. It doesn’t really matter how you do it, the simple fact is that this American Land of ours is truly a gift of nature and you will likely make this next vacation of yours a holiday of a life time.

American Vacations. Live the American dream!

If you live in Europe and don’t want to travel half way around the world to experience miles upon miles of pristine beaches as well as the mysteries of Florida’s many attraction parks, Miami and Florida should be your next destination.

With airline prices being what they are, it is not too difficult nowadays to book transatlantic flights from Europe to Miami, Orlando or Tampa for around
$600 (American Dollars) per person, and whilst these fares are still higher than the usual flights to overpopulated Costa Del Sol where your tanning spot on the crowded beach is likely to be just a little bigger than the stamp you
used to mail in your payment, at least you’ll be able to go for a swim without actually walking over bodies and most importantly suffer the effects of hypothermia due to freezing temperatures of the Mediterranean.

In Florida, make sure you rent a car equipped with a GPS and if you can, rent an apartment, particularly if you travel with your family. Miami Apartments and Florida Apartments are ideal for short term vacations and will enable you to save some of your hard earned cash on least one meal a day. Over a period of a week, that can come up to a nice and tidy sum which you will love to have in your pocket.

Are you thinking of taking a vacation to some place in the world that is completely new and unknown to you? Or maybe you are considering a return trip to some place you really love? Wherever the destination, here are some things to think about so that your next trip will be the best ever.

Plan as far ahead as you possibly can. Especially if you have never been to this destination before look it up on the Internet and investigate what sights you will definitely want to visit. If you are familiar with the place, you will still want to do this in case there are some little-known spots that you have never heard about.

Investigate reservations for a hotel room, camping spot, or whatever accommodations you want to enjoy while you are there. Keep in mind that sometimes it is cheaper to come and stay during the week. If you are only going to stay a few days, and if it doesn’t matter if you are there for a weekend, you will want to check to see if you can save money and enjoy fewer crowds by going on week days.

If you enjoy having things planned out then enjoy spending some time mapping out what you want to see, how much time you want to spend at each place, and how you will get there. Does the city have subway, bus or cable car systems that make it easy to get from place to place? Does the hotel offer shuttle service to major tourist attractions? Or will you need to rent a car to get around?

Planning your trip can be a lot of fun. Even if you are the type of person who likes to do things spontaneously making some basic plans ahead of time will make the trip more enjoyable. Planning ahead of time what you want to be sure to see, where you are going to stay, and how you are going to get around, besides how you are going to get there, will help this vacation go smoothly, ensure that you don’t miss anything worth visiting, and even save you money.

Camping Spots : The joys of camping are numerous. Being thrust into nature in the great outdoors provides many natural pleasures. Remembering my days as a girl scout, I remember the old fashioned tents with poles and spikes that took hours to put up as well as all of the heavy equipment we had to lug with us when we decided to move on and set up again elsewhere.

The largest downside, for me of camping (besides the mosquitoes) was sleeping on the floor of the tent with nothing but a sleeping bag between myself and the hard earth below. Camping cots would have made the experience much more enjoyable. Camping cots definitely did exist back then but they were large bulky things. They were heavy and hard to carry. The comfort value of your average 1970’s camping cot was questionable at the best of times.

You need to consider a few things before buying a cot to take with you. One is weight. If you are going hard core camping, meaning hiking and carrying everything without benefit of a car then you want camping cots that are relatively light. The last thing you want on your back is something that weighs a ton.
